AAUA VC (Prof. Mimiko) speak on his next career plan.

What's your plan after your tenure as the
Vice-Chancellor of AAUA?

Quite a number of people have asked me if I
would be going into politics and I have made it
clear that I cannot see myself doing well as a
politician. I'll rather go back to the classroom. I
am an academic and a teacher, certainly not a
politician. So the question of running for office
does not arise at all. I will like to remain simply
a teacher and researcher. I am going back to
the classroom.

I miss my students, especially my
graduate students with whom I always enjoy
working. There is the statutory one year
sabbatical leave that I am going to take, to
enable me sit down quietly somewhere and
tackle some backlog of readings and writings. I
do have some manuscripts I have to firm up for
publication. I also have a couple of new books
to write during the one year sabbatical leave
period.

'I am eager to return to class' -AAUA VC prof. Femi Mimiko to leave office on 4th Jan, 2015

The Profilic Leader who was a representative of the state at the national confab returned to office as the week started. He
expressed his appreciation to the Principal Officers of the institution for their good job since he had been away from the institution during a reception staffs of the school organized for him .

Prof Mimiko stated unequivocally that he had no intention of extending his stay as the VC beyond the mandatory 5 years that would come to an end early January, 2015.

"There is no end to the work of a university, indeed of any
organization. For those who are persuaded, I should stay on
because I had done well. The truth is that they wouldn't
have had an idea of my own modest capacity if I hadn't
been allowed to serve as VC because somebody has to be
kept on for doing a good job. Let us trust God to get the
right person to take over the administration of AAUA after
Professor Mimiko"

" I am sure my tenure ends on January 4 and under no
circumstance am I going to be on this seat on January 5,
2015. I am eager to return to class" he concluded. The VC said the process of the appointment of new VC would start in no distant time.

wouldn't slip off.

1. I have never seen a goal less celebrated in my life

2. The Brazilians can't wait to return to the dressing room
which will be their sanctuary for now

3. This is the kind of score line that can make grey hair turn
white

4. filipe scolari is looking 4 somewhere to hide.

5. Brazil have Neymar. Argentina have Messi. Portugal have
Ronaldo. Germany have a team

6. Brazil used up all its energy singing the National anthem.

7. "Dante has just collected a yellow card to complete his
day".

8. "The referee is considering not giving any extra time, to
save Brazil from further humiliation "

Commentator: I'm absolutely sure that most of the television

13. Comentator 1: I mean we've seen something like this.
Germany lead Sweden 4 in the first half and sweden

21yr old Redeemer University Student hacks his dad to death

Very grieving story I saw on LIB and thought of sharing here.

Read all the story below ...

Tolani Ajayi, the 21year old Redeemer University student who
hacked his father to death on Tuesday July 3rd, has finally spoken to reporters about what led him to kill his own dad. Speaking to journalists today at the Eleweran Police
Headquarters, Abeokuta, Tolani said he attacked his father
after he (the father) beat him with a stick, which he said made him very angry.

"There is no way Nigerians can help me. I am going to face
my judgement. I am meant to pay for what I have done. It is
not as if I am ready, it is something that is inevitable -
something that is going to happen; I am just waiting for it.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. when the church would
have been sleeping by then. It was anger that led me to this.
There was an argument between us and I stood up to him.
He beat me with a stick and bit me with his teeth repeatedly.
Just the two of us were at home; my mother was in Abuja,"
he said. Continue...

According to Premium Times, when asked if he was under the
influence of any drugs when he attacked his father, Tolani
admitted taking drugs but denied he was on drugs on the day
of the murder, saying it was more spiritual.
He also said it was not planned. He said his father was the one that first went to the kitchen to get a wooden spoon which he used to hit him. Tolani then went into the kitchen, took a knife and cutlass and attacked his father.

"I tried to defend myself, then he bit me on my shoulder and
I got angry. I used normal small kitchen knife then I used a
cutlass to attack him. I regret the action,"

"My mother is still grieving. I have sent some people to talk
to her that I am sorry. I want to give her time. I have talked
to my sister. I have asked for forgiveness," he said.

Tolani said that his family resides in Abuja while he lived at the Redeemed Church, RCCG, camp.

"My father came for a programme; then, my school was on
break so I went to meet him. We were meant to go back to
Abuja together then the incident happened and I am here,"
he said.

Premium Times reports that Tolani was into drugs and had
been caught twice by the authorities of Redeemer University.
The school had set up a panel to question him on the alleged
drug offence before he killed his father.

If there is anything called dope the Freshers orientation must be one. The event that took place at OBJ multipurpose hall saw hand full of crowd and even a crowd overflow but wait, not think am it was a free show :D.

There was a total of four MCs, two DJs and uncountable Shooters. The Beauty Contest was the major event of the show, and yes a winner emerged but angry people disagreed with it and the SUG president cancelled it indefinitely( i'l bring you more report on that soon).

See pictures from the event...
