The Ambulance was in front, AAUA coaster bus in middle and Sug bus last. As they approached supare junction, some students started hitting the busses with sticks shouting 'we don't want reformer' thank God the army quickly intervene and put everything back to norm.

You all gave me the mandate, authority, power to make decisions as the Student Union President. Immediately the incident occured, I deemed it fit to go to all lecture rooms and declare that day
Lecture Free. We gathered at the RC Car park to start a peaceful protest to the Palace to report the Issue and after I
called my students back on campus. I decided we should have a peaceful protest I should also decide when it should end.
I took the decision because of the Security condition of the country, I can't afford to expose my student to danger, my fear that day was not to lose another student. We all know the police are
careless, the life bullets they shot that day may have hit any student.
The consequences of such we can't afford, there will be total shut down of the school causing the calendar to be distrupted and we don't want that.
We were still mourning a student, if another one gets killed because of protest it will be a big deal. And that what am trying to avoid. And that's why I
called my students back on campus.
Some withdrew while some didn't and went ahead to barricade the road and went ahead to the NEPA Office to destroy their documents.
I believe if we are to champion the struggle for electricity it should have been a separate entity not for us to attach it to the present struggle. We
can't fight a cause that's not justified.
I want to say am not happy with what happened on Monday, everybody is not happpy but my position as the SUG President must be respected. And that is what I demand from AAUITES..
On my way to Akure with Union leaders and mother of the victim for the burial, some students barricaded and wanted to mob me, it was the Military that intervened before we could move
ahead. That's why am asking 'What Have I Done', what has Reformer done to get that kind of embarrassment, they wanted to beat me, kill me. What have I done. Or what do you expect me to
do? Tell them to embark on violent protest and destroy properties? NOOOOOO!!!.
As am taking down this statement am on my way to Akure to explain why the protest triggered. It was simply because of the immature role played by the Policemen that triggered the anger of
Nigerian Students. But military personnel came with their level of maturity and they calmed everything down, they talked to students and calmed everyone down.
Even students were glad
to see them around. And I believe that what police should have done
instead of just coming to start shooting at us. It was a peaceful demonstration, why should police shoot at us, we had no weapon with us, it was just a peaceful demonstration to the palace, why
should policemen act like that, they are suppose to work with us, I was surprised when I saw the DPO with them. He saw me, I was trying to speak to him to tell his men to calm down, instead he grabbed his pistol and threatened to shoot me. Imagine DPO that was suppose to orientate his men on what to do.
I believe police shouldn't even have come around with guns and firearm. We were out on a peaceful protest but they worsen the situation.
I want AAUITES to know Information and
Communication is vital. It can make or destroy. Always get your facts right before coming to report.
The info we got earlier was that it was Agolo that hit the victim and ran away and another Agolo that was used to rush him to the hospital. It was actually a Toyota Car that hit him and the driver
went to the station to report himself.
On tuesday again some students started
gathering saying another student was missing, meanwhile no one was missing the girl was actually in town. Students should know they are not policemen or the school authority, and protest
won't bring any missing person back. We
shouldn't forget the chibok girls situation.
This morning (tuesday) I went around the health centre to look at the health of our students that were affected by the tear gas. 13 was brought to the health centre and as at now, just 2 students
are left waiting to be discharged today (tuesday). There are no Casualties, no property destroyed, and we have comported ourselves. Peace is back
in Akungba, Free flow of vehicles, Traders back with their businesses and everything is going on smoothly.
This is my report to AAUITES on the Monday Protest, God Bless AAUA, God Bless Ondo State, God Bless Nigeria. Thank You.
